Je sais que l'alignement des touches noires pourraient être plus droite mais ça ne me dérange pas trop.  J'aurais également pu faire ressortir les espaces entre les touches blanches en ajoutant un soupçon de ligne grise.  Je laisse ça comme ça ...

Here is the final version of my previous attempt.  I've enlarged the fingers a little bit.  Not quite right but hope that helps!  I've cheated a little bit by using a brush for the correction of the fingers.  I didn't like the feeling of the brush; get back to my knives ...

I realize that the black keys could be aligned in a straight line and that I could put some grey line on the white keys but I leave it as it is ...

I registered to a painting course this winter.  It began yesterday.  Here is the result of this week's project after less than 2 hours of work.

It doesn't look too bad IRL when at a certain distance.  I can see many flaws when I take a closer look at it.  I think the biggest problem is the shadow beyond the fence (the horizontal bar does not project any shadow).  I am also not completely satisfy with the right high trees.

Is the shadows at the middle left a problem considering that we don't see any evidence of trees on this side of the painting?

I also think that the overall composition of this painting is not at its best.  I feel that the fence leads the eyes to the left side of the painting and nothing brings them back to the right part of it.

The title of this painting could be ...

In the middle of winter
The low sun tired out
Enlight the fence

Je me suis inscrit à une session de peinture pour l'hiver.  Ça a débuté hier.  Voici le résultat de mon projet de la semaine après moins de 2 heures de travail.

Le résultat n'est pas trop mal en vrai lorsqu'on prend nos distances.  Lorsqu'on regarde de près, on note plusieurs problèmes technique.  Je pense qu'il y a par exemple un problème avec l'ombre de la clôture (les barres horizontale ne projettent aucune ombre!).  Je ne suis pas totalement satisfait non plus entièrement satisfait des grands arbres à droite.

Est-ce que l'ombre que l'on voit au milieu-gauche pose problème considerant que l'on ne voit aucun arbre de ce côté?

Je pense également que la composition laisse à désirer.  La clôture amène l'oeil au fond du champs et rien ne le ramène vers l'avant-droit (là où se trouve le sujet principal).

Le titre de ce projet est:

Au coeur de l'hiver
Le bas soleil fatigué
Éclaire la clôture

Voici ma tentative de la semaine.  Je trouve que ça manque de lumière.  Je ne déteste pas le ciel et les arbres en arrière plan (de l'autre côté du lac).  Je ne suis pas vraiment satisfait de l'avant plan malgré que je trouve intéressant le fait d'avoir mis du mauve et du bleu sur le terrain (brun et vert, ça faisait moche!).  Commentaires?

Here is this week attempt.  Lack of lights IMO.  I like the sky and the background trees over the lake.  I don't really like the foreground however although I think it was a good idea to put violet and pink and blue on the ground (brown and green was boring!).  Comments?
